In “ The Cambridge Companion to Bob Dylan” by Ed Kevin Dettmar a 2009 journal published by Blackwell publishing, he talks about how Bob Dylan is still a musical influence today. The article also talks about the treatment of women in Dylan’s songs to in real life scenarios. You can still hear Dylan’s work from his 30th album to ipods, radios and cds.
In 2007, Dylan released his thirtieth record album “ Together through life” which was a hit on the record charts. The album sold millions to country music fans. He also was a subject of a Hollywood movie in 2007, “ I’m not there”. We still listen to his songs from new technology of mp3 players and satellite radio, a big difference from how people listen to music in the 1960’s of the albums to home radios.
Barbara O’ Dair provides an explanation of the sexism in the song “ Just like a women”. She states that some of the songs lines had no taste and the speaker’s vulnerability and shame. They also defined Dylan’s male heroic persona in which he tropes of the feminine as an accessory. They also talk about how Dylan influenced many artist in using marijuana. From the Beatles in 1964 they got influenced in a recording studio.

My muse event I went to the amazing Love Fest. The parade was packed with lots of people wearing costumes. There was two kinds of music playing: techno and reggie. The Best thing of love fest was the girls from what they wore to how they acted. Next year is a must go again for me with an appropriate costume.
